THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PANCASILA STUDENT PROFILE IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING FOR GRADE XI VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) in mathematics learning for Grade XI students at SMKN 3 Bandung. The six elements of the Pancasila Student Profile include: (1) Faith, piety to God Almighty, and noble character; (2) Global diversity; (3) Collaboration; (4) Independence; (5) Critical thinking; and (6) Creativity. These six elements integrate national values and character into daily educational practices, ensuring that students not only acquire academic knowledge but also develop attitudes and behaviors aligned with Indonesia's guiding principles, namely Pancasila. Therefore, this study holds significant importance for the field of education. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a natural observation type. Data collection techniques utilized non-test methods, specifically through observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative technique. The findings of this study reveal that during mathematics learning, students exhibited behaviors reflecting the P3 dimensions. The results demonstrate that the implementation of the P3 dimensions was well-realized by the students, as seen in their habits of reciting prayers and reading the Qur'an before lessons began, accepting differing views and perceptions, engaging in group discussions, thinking critically and creatively to solve problems presented in learning worksheets, independently completing formative tasks, and taking responsibility as Pancasila students.
