INTEGRATING PANCASILA STUDENT PROFILES WITH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING IN MATHEMATICS FOR CLASS X STUDENTS

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in mathematics education for Grade X students at SMKN 3 Bandung. The Pancasila Student Profile, which comprises six core dimensions (faith and devotion to God Almighty, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity), serves as a character education framework oriented toward developing students with global competencies and moral values rooted in Pancasila principles. This research employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques involving observation and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively to evaluate the alignment between the PBL syntax and the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. The findings indicate that the implementation of PBL effectively integrates all six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile through learning activities such as problem orientation, group discussions, result presentations, and evaluations. Furthermore, students actively engage in the learning process, demonstrating strengthened character in each dimension. This study confirms that PBL can be an effective strategy for implementing the values of the Pancasila Student Profile in mathematics education at the secondary school level.
